This course will provide the basis on which participants can cultivate great leadership skills.  Participants look at the inclusive approach to leadership, where the leader focuses on achieving results through those around them, including others in their decisions and working with the organisation to achieve greatness.

There are three elements of leadership that the course will focus on, these are: Personal Leadership, Team Leadership and Task Leadership.  The course will benefit participants who are relatively new to the role of leadership or are in need of a fresh perspective to their leadership role.  Anyone in a position of leadership will benefit from the course.

Contents

Leadership is an attribute that is often shrouded in mystery and frequently people are placed in leadership roles when they have no idea what leaders truly do.

Modern leadership is moving away from the ‘command and control’ ideal and the role has become more focussed on how to unlock the power and potential of those around you.  People want to be respected and valued, the great leader recognises this and is self-aware enough to encourage and develop the strengths of others to achieve the goals of the organisation.

Objectives

At the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Clearly define the core requirements of Personal, Team and Task Leadership
  • Increase their self-awareness and develop a positive approach to leadership
  • Utilise clear methods of getting the best out of their team and those around them
  • Implement working practices that will assist them in becoming a great leader
